The Association’s supreme decision-making body is Management Board and the annual general assembly. The Management Board comprises 4 members and the President who represent the Association. Secretary General is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Association.
The Association’s activities are organised into five sections: PR consultancies, corporate communications, students, media, civil service and local government

History
Not even one profession can be developed unless people who are practicing it gather together and establish associations. The main task of such associations is to work in the interest of its profession and create favorable conditions for better professional development of its members - mostly through trainings and refreshment courses, setting up standards of profession, code of conduct and ethics, provide accreditation etc.
Croatian Public Relations Association – CPRA provides professional education, networking, sets ethical principles for its members and acts as the focal point and voice of PR industry in Croatia. CPRA was founded in 1994 with aim to improve the position of public relations profession in Croatia and bring it closer to the international standards.First CPRA president was Eduard Osredečki (author of PR & marketing handbooks), followed by Mihovil Bogoslav Matković (Croatian Electricity), in two terms Sandro Baričević (Coca Cola), Boris Hajoš (Croatian Oil Company) and Dubravka Jusić (Vipnet & mobilcom austria) in two terms.
As our main activity, we organise the annual PR conferences that gathers more 250- 300 PR professionals from public administration, corporate and private sector. There we try to bring prominent speakers in the field from abroad in order to share their expertise and experiences with our colleagues. So far, 10 conferences were held (three in Opatija in 2000, 2002 & 2008, in Pula 2001, Split 2003, Varaždin 2004, Zadar 2005, Dubrovnik 2006, Rovinj 2007 and in Zagreb in 2009.
Other educational activities organized by CPRA are forums on public relations and lectures for its members on various topics related to public relations.
We have initiated translation and publishing of a series of books on PR called PRint – PR international, from 2006 up to now we have translated and published nine books of international authors and one handbook on public relations for nongovernmental organisations by Croatian authors.
In order to praise and promote the best PR projects the Grand PRix, CPRA's Annual Award was introduced in 2007, where expert jury judges the best projects from previous year.
CPRA members are also active in PR Agencies Section, Student Section and in international cooperation with international and regional associations.
