The Croatian Association for Public Relations

Croatian Public Relations Association (CPRA) –  is an organisation of professional corporate and institutional communicators, the purpose of which is to promote the professional development of its members and consolidate the position of communication in Croatia. The Association has some 900 members comprising information officers, communication managers, directors, entrepreneurs and consultants. Association operates at national level and co-operates with local CPRA's organisations throughout Croatia.

Activities:
So far we have successfully organized numerous projects such as:
- regular yearly PR conferences with prominent Croatian and international experts
- annual PR award for best projects in industry called Grand PRix
- workshops, lectures and round tables on various topics related to public relations
- translation and publishing of a series of books on PR called PRint -PR international
- research on the state of public relations in Croatia
- CPRA publishes monthly electronic newsletter for its members

Third Research on the State of Public Relations in the Republic of Croatia

May 2003, Zagreb

During the month of April 2003 HUOJ carried out the third research on the present state of public relations in the Republic of Croatia in cooperation with the Hendal Agency for Market Research. The research involved 250 respondents working in public relations and communication management in the state and local administration throughout Croatia (206 company employees and 44 civil servants). The research was funded by HGK(Croatian Chamber of Economy), HT(Croatian Telecomminications), Podravka and HEP(Croatian Electric Company). The main objective of the research was to get better insight into the following issues:

 

  • Structure and number of employed in the field of communications;
  • Responsibilities and influence of the officials/departments for public relations;
  • Frequency of certain activities; 
  • Characteristics of persons tasked with communications in companies and administration.
